Worked with Charlotte Hall veteran home in Maryland as a Family Nurse Practitioner. (Part-time) Also wrote Prescriptions, referrals, readmissions, counseling, patient education, and family conferences when needed.
2009-2012 Grant Park Nursing Home, Washington DC, presently known as Deerwood Rehab and Wellness Center
Currently working as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Admissions, re-admissions, monthly recertification, order labs., address abnormal labs., prescriptions, medication review, sick calls, referrals, sending out patients to the emergency room as required, and annual physicals.
2013- to 2017. Cigna Health Spring
Primary NP for all Cigna patients for the above facility, Woodside, and Magnolia Center nursing homes. Admissions, annual physicals, monthly comprehensive visits, sick calls, order and address labs: referrals, medication reviews, and refills.
2017 to present. Dean Wood Rehab and nursing center, Washington DC

Clinical rotation on psychiatric mental health Nurse Practitioner for Adult and Geriatric. Initial assessment of patients with mental health problems, diagnosing, treatment plans, routine follow-ups, medication management, teaching, collaborating with other providers for continuity of care, referrals to other specialties if needed, and assisting with community issues.
Participated in the following research studies/clinical trials while in school:
Breast cancer study (as a graduate student at Howard University), critiqued research papers and articles, wrote essays on assigned research topics and took research 1 and 2 courses- including research practicum. I Served as a preceptor for Howard University NP students.
DNP scholarly project. “Effectiveness of tele mental health in rural communities.”The project won an award during LU research week.
